Hello Vineyard Family. I am writing today to bring everyone up-to-speed on some live streaming changes that will be taking place. Starting July 6, we plan to move the live stream of our Sunday Services to YouTube. While we know these may not affect many of you, but for those watching and commenting on our videos, we wanted to let you know in advance so you can plan accordingly.
Earlier this Spring, Facebook reached out to us with an announcement to a change in their video storage policy. In Facebook's new video storage policy, they announced that, "after 30 days, you will no longer be able to access your live broadcasts (videos) and they will automatically be removed from your profile or Page and deleted from our servers". Below is what Facebook sent us:
Facebook is rolling out changes to its storage policy for Facebook Live videos. Starting February 19, Facebook Live videos will be retained for 30 days by default on your Facebook Page or profile, during which you can replay, delete, or download the video. After 30 days, you will no longer be able to access your live broadcasts and they will automatically be removed from your profile or Page and deleted from our servers. |
Therefore, since we believe it is important to have our services available beyond 30 days, we plan to make the switch to YouTube this July. |
How to connect on YouTube? To view our service(s) on YouTube, you will only need to go to our YouTube page. If you would like to comment on our videos, then you will need to log into YouTube. If you already have a Gmail account, then this is all you need to log into Google (as YouTube is part of Google). If you do not have a Gmail / Google account, then you can create one for free (a step-by-step video is below if you would like help with this process). Questions? If you have any questions in this change, please feel free to reach out to our Office at YourVineyardChurch@gmail.com Video on how to create a Google Account |
