EMBARC’s mission is striving to help refugees expand their world of possibilities through advocacy, education and community development throughout Iowa. As Iowa’s first refugee-led social service organization, EMBARC offers support and resources for refugees in need. These resources include a wide range of educational and healthcare programs, as well as access to housing, food, job opportunities, mentoring and more. It’s all about building stronger refugee communities, which in turn helps build a stronger Iowa.
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is touching millions of lives…one heart at a time. Since 1954, FCA has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful platform of sport to reach every coach and every athlete with the transforming power of Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities around the globe by engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to unite, inspire and change the world through the gospel.
Hope Ministries has been serving people in need in central Iowa since 1915. They provide food, clothing, shelter and life recovery programs for men, women and children out of seven ministry centers around Des Moines.
To rescue those who are homeless, hungry, abused or addicted, providing opportunities for hope, recovery and restoration through the love of Jesus Christ.
TIMs CLUBe is a ministry of recovery that oversees recovery houses in the Des Moines area that are Christ-centered and Bible-based transitional housing.
TIMs CLUBe also hosts weekly dinners at the Vineyard that are programmed to help with accountability needed to continue to work the steps of recovery from drugs, alcohol and other hurts and hang-ups.
