Healing Circles

This week our city experienced a tragic shooting at Starts Right Here, a non-profit organization for urban youth to have a supportive, empowering environment to rise above challenging circumstances.

Two teenagers lost their lives and Will Keeps, founder of the Starts Right Here Movement, was seriously injured. Many more were impacted by this violent action of darkness. 

Being a Healing Circle through prayer:

Please pray for Will Keeps, his family, friends, and leadership team. Pray for the families, friends, youth and churches that were directly impacted by the loss of 18-year-old Gionni Dameron and 16-year-old Rashad Carr. Pray for our police and safety in our city neighborhoods as they address gang related violence in Des Moines. 

Being a Healing Circle by showing up: 

A candlelight vigil will be held at 6 p.m. this Friday at the Starts Right Here building, located at 455 SW 5th Street in Des Moines. For those who would like to go together, let me know and we can carpool.
